With reference to your No. 24717 of 1902 to Mr. R. C. Dixon, I have the honour to state that I have carefully examined this gentleman an find that he is suffering from Locomotor ataxy. I am of opinion that the disease has been aggravated, if not brought on, by his service in Hong-Kong, and numerous attacks of Malarial Fever and Dysentery from which he states that he has suffered.
I fear that he will not be fit for duty in the tropies again, but as he already shows some improvement over his past condition, I think that he may be granted six months extension of leave pending final retirement.
